Do not add the extra egg yolk to the custard! And if at all possible cook it for longer at a lower temperature! I had to tweak it to fit the filming times so it was, in fact, at too high a temperature so it would cook in time! Hence the “caramelising”! Wow, was that a family joke that didn’t translate!
